Becky Baudouin is a freelance
writer and speaker. She is the author of Cancer, Faith, and Unexpected Joy: what my mother taught me about how to live and how to die (September 2017). Her monthly column,
“A Mom’s Point of View,” appeared (in print and online) for almost five years in
Chicago’s Daily Herald, the third
largest newspaper in Illinois with a readership of more than 100,000. She has written for the marriage ministry at
Willow Creek Community Church, and several of her articles have been published
in Focus on the Family’s Thriving Family
magazine.
Becky grew up in northern Michigan and now lives in the
Chicago area with her husband Bernie and their three daughters.
Becky speaks at local MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers)
groups and women’s events on topics such as parenting, marriage, and faith. For more than a decade she has led groups in
both marriage and grief workshops, walking alongside those in seasons of difficulty
and loss. As a writer and speaker, she
seeks to encourage others, and in her work as a part-time personal prep chef,
she is able to share her love and passion for cooking. Her favorite place to be is around her dining
room table, sharing great food and connecting with loved ones.
